On Saturday 5 September, Poppies offered full à la carte dining and late-night drinks for Riverfire visitors on Little Stanley Street.
Poppies offered an airspace view of the fireworks, without a water view. It was not a guaranteed-view package or an exclusive viewing area.

Riverfire booking record.
A $15 per-person holding fee applied to Riverfire 2026 reservations.
- It is not credited against your final bill.
- The fee is refundable only when you cancel or reduce numbers with at least 48 hours’ notice.
- Cancellations, no-shows and cover reductions within 48 hours forfeit the fee.
- Every child must be included in the booking total. Please advise highchair requirements in advance.
- Walk-ins are welcome where capacity permits, but advance bookings are strongly recommended.

For Riverfire 2026, public transport and extra travel time were recommended due to precinct crowds, road closures and bag checks. These conditions were event-specific and are retained here as historical information only.

Event questions and answers.
Yes. A $15 per-person holding fee is required to secure every Riverfire reservation on Saturday 5 September 2026.
The holding fee is refundable when a booking is cancelled or reduced by at least 48 hours. Cancellations, no-shows and reductions within 48 hours forfeit the fee.
No. The $15 per-person holding fee is not credited against the final food and beverage bill.
Daytime bookings from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm are 75 minutes. Evening bookings from 3:30 pm are 90 minutes. There is no seating from 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm while the venue resets for dinner service.
Yes. Every child must be included in the reservation total. Please let us know in advance if you need a highchair.

The final evening booking starts at 9:45 pm. Last food orders are at 10:30 pm and last drinks are at 11:15 pm.
Poppies offers an airspace view of the fireworks, without a water view. We do not promise a view from every table or a guaranteed fireworks view.
Public transport and extra travel time are recommended because of South Bank crowds, road closures and bag checks. South Bank Car Park is pre-booked only and becomes exit-only from 6:00 pm. Check the official Riverfire and South Bank access pages before travelling.
