STREETS BEACHIS BACK OPEN

South Bank’s lagoon has reopened following essential maintenance. A temporary Riverfire operational closure has now passed, and Streets Beach returned to normal operating hours from Sunday 6 September.

A practical South Bank day

PLAN AROUND THE POOL,NOT AROUND A RUSH.

This is a quick reopening update first, and a simple South Bank planning guide second. Keep an eye on official notices, then use the rest of the precinct at your own pace.

01

Check today’s precinct update

Streets Beach is back open after maintenance. For the latest conditions, operational notices and precinct events, check Visit South Bank before you head in.

02

Make a day of South Bank

Pair the beach with a walk through the Parklands, the Cultural Precinct or Little Stanley Street. Leave room in the plan for a relaxed lunch or an early dinner.

03

Plan food around the swim

Start with coffee and brunch, or settle in after the beach for all-day dining and drinks at Poppies on Little Stanley Street.

Little Stanley Street

Make the beach day a proper day out.

Bring the family in for coffee and brunch before a swim, or linger over lunch, cocktails and a relaxed table after the beach.

Before or after Streets Beach

KEEP LUNCH EASY.

Poppies is made for the in-between moments: a family breakfast before the Parklands, a long lunch after the water, or an early table before moving on to the rest of South Bank.
